Los Gauchos Outfitters is proud to offer you the best duck hunting Uruguay has to offer, right alongside our high-volume dove hunting trips. Many of our more experienced clients choose a combination shoot that includes Uruguay duck hunting, and dove and/or pigeon hunting. Los Gauchos Outfitters provides 2 lodges for the Uruguay duck hunting. The schedule includes 2 duck hunts per day and available weeks are May 1st to September 15, so for our North American duck hunting clients, take advantage of the duck hunting in Uruguay and the opportunity for duck hunting year round.

Duck Hunting in Uruguay
The best duck hunting in Uruguay is located in the eastern portion of the country, however Los Gauchos has several destinations in the country where one can experience Uruguay dove hunting, and duck hunting, all out of the same lodge.
This is the ultimate mixed bag hunt, and many of our clients choose this hunting trip each year over all others.
Uruguay ducks - that is all I want. We hear that too and Los Gauchos delivers. With 2 lodges that focus purely on Uruguay duck hunting - duck hunting in rice fields May to September with the option of 3.5, 4 or even 5 days of all day duck hunting in Uruguay, no outfitter in Uruguay does it better than Los Gauchos.
The Rio Branco Lodge, better known as the Los Gauchos Uruguay Duck Hunting Club, is a comfortable lodge that hosts up to 8 duck hunters per week. Double occupancy with private baths and a dining room, living room and good duck hunting both in the morning and afternoon.
Location of the Rio Branco Lodge is right on a private rice farm with hundreds of rice crops and baiting that the guides and scouts do daily. The duck hunting here is close to the lodge (backyard...) and the consistent volume is something you have to see to believe.
Los Gauchos also hosts waterfowlers at the Fortin Lodge located near more rice fields and water marshes. This lodge is located in an area where Perdiz are present and Uruguay Perdiz hunting can be added to the Uruguay duck hunting.
The Fortin Lodge is a large hotel transformed into an Estancia (meaning in English would be a large plantation mansion). Fortin is a great lodge and the duck hunting is close - about 15 to 40 minutes from the doorstep. The benefit of adding Perdiz hunting is a valuable option and open during the Uruguay Perdiz season of May, June, and July.

Uruguay Duck and Dove Combo
The ulitmate hunting trip to Uruguay would include every bird and some time for the dorado fishing. While a small country, the transportation system in Uruguay relies on road travel. So, one must be prepared to travel but see the great landscape and countryside of Uruguay to undertake the combo hunt of Uruguay duck hunting and Uruguay dove hunting.
